HELD OVER THROUGH NOVEMBER 3, 2018
Azuma Gallery is pleased to present a restrospective of recently acquired etchings by Ryohei Tanaka, one of Japan's most beloved print artists. Born in 1933, he began his art career studying etching in 1963. Subjects often feature rural scenes, particularly thatched roof farmhouses from villages where he was born and raised. Tanaka's work is widely collected, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), Hirschorn Museum (Washington DC), and Museum of Fine Arts (Boston).
